Windows 8  culture fr-CH is wrong

On Windows XP and Windows 7 number culture fr-CH is : 1'000.00   'as thousand separator and .as decimal

on Windows 8 number culture fr-CH is  : 1 000,00  this is wrong.

On Windows Phone 8 (Nokia Numia 920) it is wrong too, calculatior shows 1000,50 insteed of 1000.50

I did mentionate this on french forum since Windows 8 preview !

I suppose that all these forum are "write olny" ! nobody read and take action at Microsoft !?

Hi,

You may open Region and Language, then go to Additional settings. You may change Digit Grouping symbol to the format you want.

That doesn't change the facts that the default is wrong and you also cannot customize the regional settings on Windows Phone.

That also affect Windows Server and cause troubles in ASP.Net validation if server culture if fr-CH and user culture is correct. Microsoft has indicated on another forum that they used a document from Swiss government that describes how to use numbers here. In the document, the decimal separator is the comma. Unfortunately, what MS didn't notice is that the document describes the format of numbers in text documents. And unfortunately, in texts, the comma is used. But the point remains the default decimal separator for numbers when doing calculations or entering values!
